"The History Channel reaps what it sows"

Films: Grave Encounters (2011), Grave Encounters 2 (2012)

Alias: Various, notablye The Tall Man

Type: Mystical

Location: Haunted Home

Height/Weight: That of average humans.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: There is nothing quite as pathetic as those "ghost hunting" shows. Whether they're infecting the wrong channels or just being obnoxious with how it all looks and sounds staged, there's a reason we're thankful that they died out mostly just before the 2010s. Here though, we see what a REAL ghost hunter venture would end up as.

History: There's something going on at the Collingwood Psychiatric Hospital, a place said to be fraught with supernatural activity. Believed to be the result of dark magic rituals, spirits roam the place forever, twisting the very fabric of reality within the building and driving anyone who visits to madness. That didn't stop the crew of the ghost-hunting show "Grave Encounters", but they soon wish it did.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: Everyone who visits that hospital either ends up dead or goes insane. One guy was released from the hospital for the sole purpose of spreading the word and getting more people to come there. Thankfully, he made a point to tell everyone that it REALLY wasn't worth it.

Powers/Abilities: The ghosts make it so that the hospital can stop time, turn into a gigantic maze, and even open up rifts into the other side. The ghosts themselves can possess and toss people around.

Weakness: None.

Scariness Factor: 4-Admittingly, they can only do that "gaping open mouth" thing for so long before it becomes rather absurd. But for what it's worth, the spirits inhabiting this hospital make it literal Hell on Earth. Some spirits even look quite deformed and inhuman like the Tall Man. And some will even experiment on you like they did as living doctors. DON'T COME HERE if you value your life.

Trivia: -A prequel film, called "Grave Encounters: The Beginning", was announced in 2015, but has yet to show up ever.

-Both films were shot on location at the Riverview Hospital, a Canadian institute that's been the filming location for countless movies beforehand. Recently, the place has been seeing renovations after it closed in 2012, yet filmmakers still come for the ominous imagery of what was there before.

Oh, HELL, would they find it.

Let's see if they can make a straight line...

Nobody leaves or enters without an appointment.
But they brightened the place up!

Preach.

Don't drink the kool-aid.
The moment before the disaster.

I thought we were through with appointments!

Stuff always goes to the cutting room floor, but...

Look out! It's The Rake's lankier cousin!
